DOHA, October 10, 2014 – Qatar’s senior basketball team delegation will leave Doha to KSA on Sunday to participate in the 13rd GCC Basketball Championship 2014 will run from October 13-20 in KSA.
The national basketball team will begin their campaign in the event against Kuwait on October 14, then will shake hands with Oman on October 15, followed by a third match against UAE on October 17, as they will play against hosts KSA on October 18 and lock horns against Bahrain on October 19.
The team line-up includes, Yassin Ismail, Mohammed Abdullah Saleem, Mohammed Hassan Abdel Moeti, Orfan Saied, Khalid Suleiman Abdi, Dawoud Mosa, Omar Abdulkadir, Mansour Al Hadari, Bakr Ahmed, Mohammed Yousif, Ahmed Al Darweesh and Boni Watson.
Qatar has won the title of GCC basketball championship four times, while Kuwait and KSA three times and UAE two times
