Fiba Asia 2015 - Qatar faces the absence of stars and injuries

Qatar National Basketball team faces many challenges and difficulties before going to the Fiba Asia Championship competitions held in China during the period from September 23rd until October 3rd ..this competition qualifies the winner to the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the 2016 cycle

The most important challenge Qatar National team faces is the absence of a large number of the stars As the commander Ismail Yassin, who announced his international retirement after a career full of success lasted 21 years during which he participated in all the Gulf, Arab, Asian and international tournaments.

The other big challenge is the exposure of a large number of injuries in the team as the most prominent playmaker Mansour, who suffered a crusader ligament operation in the beginning of the season which suspended him from playing with the Arabi Club for six months

Three teams from each group will be qualified to the second round of the tournament then those 12 teams will be divided into two groups, the best four teams from each group will go to the quarter-finals until the knockout system determine a championship who will qualify to the Olympics.
