Doha, December 30, 2016 -The General Assembly of the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) elected unopposed Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Muftah as QBF President for the next Olympic term which is extended until 2020.
The General assembly in its session held yesterday also elected Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Hitmi, Mohammed Ali Rashid Al Subaie, Ibrahim Obaid Siddiqi, and Salah al-Atiq as QBF board members.
The new QBF board has granted HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the honorary chairmanship of QBF board, in recognition of his efforts in promoting the game and the remarkable achievements during his tenure.
