Doha – September 12, 2026:
The Qatar Basketball Federation announces the start of the General Under‑16 Basketball League for the 2026–2027 sports season, with the opening games scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Federation Hall. The competition will unfold across several rounds, marking the beginning of the teams’ journey in the tournament.

Qatar Club and Al Rayyan will inaugurate the first round at 5:00 p.m., in a clash where both sides aim to secure a strong start, followed by Al Khor facing Al Sadd at 6:30 p.m. in the second game of the evening.

The first round continues on Sunday, September 20, with two fixtures: Al Wakrah against Al Gharafa at 5:00 p.m., and Al Ahli versus Al Shamal at 6:30 p.m.

Round two will be held on Sunday, September 27, featuring Al Gharafa against Al Khor at 5:00 p.m., followed by Al Shamal meeting Al Wakrah at 6:30 p.m. The round will conclude on Sunday, October 4, with Al Sadd taking on Qatar Club at 5:00 p.m., and Al Rayyan meeting Al Arabi at 6:30 p.m.

The competition resumes with round three on Sunday, November 1, as Al Khor faces Al Shamal at 5:00 p.m., followed by Qatar Club against Al Gharafa at 6:30 p.m.

Round three concludes on Sunday, November 8, with Al Arabi meeting Al Sadd at 5:00 p.m., and Al Wakrah facing Al Ahli at 6:30 p.m.

Round four begins on Sunday, November 15, with Al Shamal against Qatar Club at 5:00 p.m., and Al Ahli versus Al Khor at 6:30 p.m. The round wraps up on Sunday, November 22, with Al Gharafa meeting Al Arabi at 5:00 p.m., and Al Sadd taking on Al Rayyan at 6:30 p.m.
