The Women’s Basketball General League will feature the participation of Al-Gharafa, Al-Adham, Al-Shamal, and Al-Khor. The tournament is expected to showcase advanced technical levels, reflecting the efforts invested in preparing the teams and players over the past period.

The new season will be played under a three-round system, with the total points accumulated by each team across all rounds determining the league champion. The league will kick off on Friday, February 6, 2026, with two matches in the opening round: Al-Gharafa vs. Al-Adham, and Al-Shamal vs. Al-Khor. Both matches will be played simultaneously at 6:00 p.m. on courts (1) and (2) at the Federation Hall.

The Qatar Basketball Federation confirms that the Women’s League champion will be the club with the highest number of points at the end of the competition. In the event of a tie at the top of the standings, a playoff match will be held to determine the champion.

The Federation also clarifies that Al-Adham will participate in the league without its results being counted in the official standings. This decision serves technical and developmental purposes, aiming to support the players by providing them with more opportunities for competition and valuable experience.
