The second round of the Qatar U16 Basketball League for the 2026–2027 sports season got underway with two matches held at the Qatar Basketball Federation Hall. Al Gharafa defeated Al Khor 87–35, while Al Wakrah overcame Al Shamal 59–49.
Al Gharafa continued its strong start to the competition, claiming its second consecutive victory and increasing its tally to four points after defeating Al Wakrah 75–49 in the opening round. Meanwhile, Al Wakrah recorded its first win of the tournament, raising its total to three points.
On the other hand, Al Khor suffered its second defeat of the season, while Al Shamal also sustained its second loss, leaving both teams with two points each.
The opening round had featured four victories, with Al Rayyan defeating Qatar SC 98–54, Al Sadd overcoming Al Khor 85–35, Al Gharafa beating Al Wakrah 75–49, and Al Ahli securing a 72–48 win over Al Shamal.
Following the results of the first round and the two matches played in Round 2, Al Gharafa leads the standings with four points, followed by Al Wakrah with three points. Al Rayyan, Al Sadd, Al Ahli, Al Khor, and Al Shamal each have two points, while Qatar SC has one point. Al Arabi will begin its campaign in Round 2 after receiving a bye in the opening round.
Round 2 action will continue on Sunday, October 4, with two matches. Al Sadd will face Qatar SC at 5:00 PM, while Al Rayyan will take on Al Arabi at 6:30 PM. Al Ahli will have a bye.
Round 3 matches will be played on November 1 and 8. On November 1, Al Khor will meet Al Shamal at 5:00 PM, followed by Qatar SC against Al Gharafa at 6:30 PM. On November 8, Al Arabi will face Al Sadd at 5:00 PM, while Al Wakrah will take on Al Ahli at 6:30 PM. Al Rayyan will have a bye in this round.
Round 4 will be held on November 15 and 22. On November 15, Al Shamal will play Qatar SC at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Ahli versus Al Khor at 6:30 PM. On November 22, Al Gharafa will face Al Arabi at 5:00 PM, while Al Sadd will meet Al Rayyan at 6:30 PM. Al Wakrah will have a bye.
Nine clubs are participating in the Qatar U16 Basketball League: Qatar SC, Al Rayyan, Al Khor, Al Sadd, Al Wakrah, Al Gharafa, Al Ahli, Al Shamal, and Al Arabi.
