Two Matches to Conclude Round 2 of the U19 Basketball League

The Qatar U19 Basketball League for the 2026–2027 season continues with intense competition among participating clubs. Round 2 will conclude on Monday, October 5, 2026, with two fixtures taking place at the Qatar Basketball Federation Hall, as Al Arabi faces Al Khor and Al Sadd takes on Al Gharafa.
Al Arabi will meet Al Khor at 5:00 PM in a matchup where Al Arabi aims to maintain its positive momentum, while Al Khor looks to bounce back from its opening-round defeat to Al Sadd and secure its first victory of the season.
At 6:30 PM, Al Sadd will face Al Gharafa. Al Sadd enters the contest with high confidence following its opening-round victory over Al Khor, while Al Gharafa will be playing its first match of the competition after receiving a bye in the first round.
The opening round featured four competitive encounters. Qatar SC defeated Al Shamal 88–57, Al Ahli edged Al Rayyan 81–79, Al Sadd cruised past Al Khor 90–35, and Al Arabi overcame Al Wakrah 74–57, while Al Gharafa had a bye.
In Round 2, which began on September 28, Qatar SC continued its perfect start by claiming its second consecutive win, defeating Al Wakrah 91–65. The victory lifted its tally to four points and secured sole possession of first place in the standings. Meanwhile, Al Rayyan earned its first win of the tournament with a 114–82 victory over Al Shamal, improving its total to three points. Al Ahli received a bye during the second round.
Al Ahli, Al Sadd, Al Arabi, Al Shamal, and Al Wakrah each have two points, while Al Khor has one point. Al Gharafa is yet to register a point.
Round 3 is scheduled to begin in November. On Tuesday, November 3, Al Wakrah will face Al Rayyan at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Khor against Qatar SC at 6:30 PM. The round will continue on Tuesday, November 10, with Al Gharafa meeting Al Arabi at 5:00 PM and Al Shamal taking on Al Ahli at 6:30 PM, while Al Sadd will have a bye.
Round 4 will be played over two days. On Monday, November 16, Al Rayyan will face Al Khor at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Ahli versus Al Wakrah at 6:30 PM. The round will conclude on Monday, November 23, with Qatar SC facing Al Gharafa at 5:00 PM and Al Arabi taking on Al Sadd at 6:30 PM, while Al Shamal will receive a bye.
