Al Arabi Defeats Al Khor, While Al Sadd Overcomes Al Gharafa in the U19 Basketball League

The second round of the 2026-2027 U19 Basketball League concluded with two matches held at the Qatar Basketball Federation Hall, featuring Al Arabi versus Al Khor and Al Sadd versus Al Gharafa.
Al Arabi secured an 88-71 victory over Al Khor to maintain its winning streak in the competition, while Al Sadd edged past Al Gharafa 89-86 in a highly competitive contest that showcased strong performances from both teams.
The second round had kicked off on September 28 and saw Qatar SC continue its perfect start to the season, claiming its second consecutive victory with a 91-65 win over Al Wakrah. Al Rayyan also recorded its first victory of the championship, defeating Al Shamal 114-82, while Al Ahli had a bye during the round.
At the conclusion of Round 2, Al Sadd leads the standings with four points, level on points with Qatar SC and Al Arabi. Al Rayyan occupies fourth place with three points, followed by Al Ahli in fifth place with two points, tied with sixth-placed Al Wakrah, seventh-placed Al Shamal, and eighth-placed Al Khor. Al Gharafa sits ninth and last with one point.
The opening round had witnessed Qatar SC defeating Al Shamal 88-57, Al Ahli edging Al Rayyan 81-79, Al Sadd defeating Al Khor 90-35, and Al Arabi overcoming Al Wakrah 74-57, while Al Gharafa received a bye.
Round 3 will begin in November, with Al Wakrah taking on Al Rayyan on Tuesday, November 3, at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Khor against Qatar SC at 6:30 PM. The round will continue on Tuesday, November 10, with Al Gharafa facing Al Arabi at 5:00 PM and Al Shamal meeting Al Ahli at 6:30 PM, while Al Sadd will have a bye.
Round 4 will be played over two days. On Monday, November 16, Al Rayyan will face Al Khor at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Ahli against Al Wakrah at 6:30 PM. The round will conclude on Monday, November 23, with Qatar SC taking on Al Gharafa at 5:00 PM and Al Arabi facing Al Sadd at 6:30 PM, while Al Shamal will have a bye.
