League action continues on Sunday, October 25, when Al Arabi takes on Al Rayyan at 6:00 p.m. at the Qatar Basketball Federation Hall in the postponed Round 2 fixture. The match was rescheduled due to both teams’ participation in the Arab Clubs Basketball Championship, held in Beirut.
The encounter carries particular significance given the rich history of both clubs in Qatari men’s basketball. Al Arabi enters the season as the reigning league champion, having won the title in each of the past three seasons to raise its total to 11 league championships. Al Rayyan, meanwhile, remains the most successful club in the competition’s history with 18 league titles.
The match will mark the season debut for both teams, each aiming to begin its campaign on a positive note in a showdown between the three-time defending champion and the league’s most decorated club.
