The competitions of the 2026-2027 U16 Basketball League Championship continue on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with two first-round matches, following the launch of the tournament last Sunday, which featured two games that saw Al Rayyan and Al Sadd defeat Qatar SC and Al Khor, respectively.
Both matches will be played at the Qatar Basketball Federation Hall. Al Wakrah will take on Al Gharafa at 5:00 PM, while Al Ahli will face Al Shamal at 6:30 PM.
The tournament kicked off last Sunday with Al Rayyan securing a convincing 98-54 victory over Qatar SC.
In the second match, Al Sadd began its campaign with an 85-35 win against Al Khor.
As a result, Al Rayyan and Al Sadd each collected two points, while Qatar SC and Al Khor earned one point apiece at the start of their league campaign.
The next round will be held on Sunday, September 27, with Al Gharafa facing Al Khor at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Shamal against Al Wakrah at 6:30 PM.
The action will continue on Sunday, October 4, with two fixtures. Al Sadd will meet Qatar SC at 5:00 PM, while Al Rayyan will take on Al Arabi at 6:30 PM.
Round Three matches will be played on Sunday, November 1, with Al Khor facing Al Shamal at 5:00 PM and Qatar SC meeting Al Gharafa at 6:30 PM. The third round will conclude on Sunday, November 8, when Al Arabi play Al Sadd at 5:00 PM, followed by Al Wakrah against Al Ahli at 6:30 PM.
The fourth round will begin on Sunday, November 15, with Al Shamal taking on Qatar SC at 5:00 PM and Al Ahli facing Al Khor at 6:30 PM. The round will conclude on Sunday, November 22, with Al Gharafa meeting Al Arabi at 5:00 PM, followed by the highly anticipated clash between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan at 6:30 PM.
