The first round of the 2026-2027 U14 Basketball League concluded with matches between Al Ahli and Al Wakrah, and Al Arabi and Qatar Club. Al Ahli secured a 52-25 victory over Al Wakrah, while Al Arabi defeated Qatar Club 33-20.
As a result, both Al Ahli and Al Arabi earned two points each, while Al Wakrah and Qatar Club received one point apiece. The completion of these fixtures marked the end of the opening round of the competition, which features nine participating clubs.
Earlier matches in the first round saw Al Rayyan claim a 63-15 victory over Al Shamal, while Al Sadd defeated Al Khor 30-11. Al Rayyan and Al Sadd each collected two points, with Al Shamal and Al Khor receiving one point each, in accordance with the league’s points system.
The league includes Qatar Club, Al Sadd, Al Rayyan, Al Arabi, Al Gharafa, Al Wakrah, Al Ahli, Al Shamal, and Al Khor. All matches are being held at the Qatar Basketball Federation courts as part of a schedule comprising 36 games across nine rounds during the first phase of the competition.
The second round is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, with Al Ahli facing Al Shamal at 4:00 PM, followed by Al Arabi against Al Wakrah at 5:00 PM. The round will continue on Saturday, October 3, 2026, when Al Rayyan takes on Al Khor at 4:00 PM, followed by Al Sadd versus Al Gharafa at 5:00 PM.
Round three will begin on Saturday, October 31, with Al Shamal meeting Al Arabi at 4:00 PM, followed by Al Khor against Al Ahli at 5:00 PM. The round will conclude on November 7, 2026, with Al Gharafa facing Al Rayyan at 4:00 PM and Al Wakrah taking on Qatar Club at 5:00 PM.
The fourth round of the first phase will be held on November 14, with Al Arabi playing Al Khor at 4:00 PM, followed by Qatar Club versus Al Shamal at 5:00 PM. The round will conclude on Saturday, November 21, when Al Ahli faces Al Gharafa at 4:00 PM, followed by the highly anticipated clash between Al Rayyan and Al Sadd at 5:00 PM
